Quoting Poetically: Bruce Lee on Adaptation

“Be formless, shapeless like water. Now if you put water into a cup it becomes the cup, you put water into a bottle it becomes the bottle, you put it into a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, My Friend.” - Bruce Lee on The Pierre Berton Show, December 1971

Flexibility, adaptation, and a pro-active response to change were key to Bruce Lee’s philosophy of success. In this uncertain world economy and the wars of the world what can be taken form this statement? Is the answer really that existentially concrete? Well, one might like to think so. But a better comparison might also be that one must tackle his or her problem by immersing in a solution (all watery puns aside) rather that a complaint.

Wax like Water!
